NOTICE (updated November 18, 2020)
EFFECTIVE WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 2020
GILLIAM COUNTY COURTHOUSE WILL BE ACCESSIBLE TO THE PUBLIC VIA APPOINTMENT ONLY, FOR LEGALLY REQUIRED BUSINESS ONLY.
Gilliam County is committed to doing our part to protect the health and safety of our communities by slowing the spread of COVID-19.
To facilitate compliance with the recent Governor’s Executive Order 20-65, the Gilliam County Courthouse will be accessible to the public via appointment only, for legally required business only. All other business should be communicated via phone or email.
Members of the public are encouraged to utilize the phone, email and the document drop box (located in the Courthouse parking lot) to conduct non-essential business whenever possible. For services which can only be provided in-person, please contact the department responsible for providing the service to schedule an appointment. Appointments are currently restricted to legally required appointments only.
Access to the Courthouse will also be provided for scheduled proceedings of the Gilliam County Circuit Court and Justice Court. The Courthouse doors will unlock 30 minutes prior to those scheduled proceedings and will be locked again after their conclusion.
These measures will remain in effect until further notice, but at a minimum until December 2. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes, and thank the public for your patience and understanding during this challenging time.
