Weed Department maintains the weeds on our roadsides, works to keep noxious weed at a minimum throughout the county and assist the area landowners with their needs. The Weed Dept. also does work for Oregon Department of Transportation, Bonnivelle Power Administration, Bureau of Land Management, Union Pacific Railroad, Corps of Engineers and Pacific Gas.
Gilliam County Cost Share Applications for weed control are available to Gilliam County landowners by contacting the Gilliam County Weed Department at 384-4222, Monday through Thursday.
PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE - WEED ASSESSMENT 2013
Notice is hereby given that the Gilliam County Court will conduct two public hearings to receive evidence in the matter of a Weed Control Special Assessment. To receive written and oral testimony on the Special Weed Assessment.
The County Court will hold the first public hearing Wednesday, March 13th, at 7:00 p.m. at the Gilliam County Grain Lab in Arlington, Oregon.
A second public hearing will be held Wednesday, March 20th, at 11:00 a.m. in the Circuit Court Room at the Gilliam County Courthouse, Condon, Oregon.
The Special Assessment Roll is available for inspection February at the Gilliam County Road Department office at the Gilliam County Courthouse in Condon.
